Smudge Sticks, Spell Jars, Sound and Slow Flow | Ritual Making Mini Retreat

In this half day workshop we will cover the basics to create your own smudge sticks to be used for cleansing and healing, whilst exploring the power of intention setting with herbs, crystals and other materials in Spell Jars. Woven together with movement and meditation practices to assist in grounding and relaxation.

We’ll begin the workshop with a delicious cup of Cacao to ground ourselves and connect with each other and our higher self before being guided through a gentle slow-flow Yoga session.

Then we will explore the cultural and historical origins of smudge sticks, herb bundles that are burned for spiritual and ritual practice.

“Smudging” is the common name given to the native American tradition known as The Sacred Smoke Bowl Blessing.

This powerful spiritual cleansing technique calls upon various sacred plants to drive away negative energy and to restore balance to an individual, a group, space, or all three.

You will create your own smudge sticks and spell jars while exploring how they can be used in daily life.

You will also create your own Spell Jar, which are basically physical representations of your intentions, allowing you to constantly remind yourself of what you're working on manifesting. The contents inside of the jar have their own specific properties that are designed  to enhance the intention that you put into it. Spell Jars date back to the 17th century!

We will explore oracle cards, crystals, their energy, and how to use them to set your intentions and form helpful habits.

Throughout the day we’ll incorporate crystal singing bowls, movement and mediation to help relax & reset. Bring along anything to make you feel comfortable as you will be guided through movement and mediation practices.

All materials supplied including herbal teas, cacao and light snacks!
